Michael Jordan asks for no-contact order

MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Michael Jordan's lawyers have asked a judge to permanently bar a western Pennsylvania woman from having contact with him.

Jordan's lawyers asked a Meadville judge on Wednesday to order a permanent no-contact order against Lisa Miceli. The Meadville woman claims Jordan fathered her 4-year-old son.

Miceli was thrown out of the courtroom after speaking out several times during the hearing.

Earlier this year, Jordan filed a lawsuit seeking to keep Miceli away from him since a pair of 2005 paternity tests proved he wasn't the boy's father. The lawyers say they are seeking a permanent order because Miceli didn't properly respond to that lawsuit.

Crawford County Judge Gordon Miller says he will rule on the request in the next week to 10 days.

Blue Energy

Blue energy, osmotic power plant or salinity gradient power is the energy retrieved from the difference in the salt concentration between seawater and river water. Two practical methods for this are Reverse Electrodialysis(RED), or Pressure Retarded Osmosis(PRO). Both processes rely on osmosis with ion specific membranes. The key waste product is brackish water. This byproduct is the result of natural forces that are being harnessed: the flow of fresh water into seas that are made up of salt water. The technologies have been confirmed in laboratory conditions. They are being developed into commercial use in the Netherlands (RED) and Norway (PRO). The cost of the membrane has been an obstacle. A new, cheap membrane, based on an electrically modified polyethylene plastic, made it fit for potential commercial use.

Biography of Liu Yi Fei

Crystal Liu Yifei (born 25 August 1987) is a Chinese actress and singer. Although she is often credited as Liu Yi Fei (traditional Chinese: 劉亦菲; simplified Chinese: 刘亦菲), her legal name is Liu Xi Mei Zi (traditional Chinese: 劉茜美子; simplified Chinese: 刘茜美子: 茜 Xi is from German movie "Sissi" (Chinese translation 茜茜公主—hence the pronunciation of xi not qian; her mother calls her Xixi),[1] and Liu Xi is a Chinese compound surname. At the age of 15, Liu Yifei's role as "Wang Yuyan" in the television series, Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils propelled her to fame in China.

Personal life

Born at Tongji hospital in Wuhan, China, Liu's birthname was An Feng (traditional Chinese: 安風; simplified Chinese: 安风).[2] Her father An Shaokang (Chinese: 安少康), a 1st Secretary in the Chinese Embassy in France, was a university French Language professor while her mother was a dancer and a stage performer. They divorced when she was 7 years old. After her parents' divorce, Liu lived with her mother, Liu Xiao Li (traditional Chinese: 劉曉莉; simplified Chinese: 刘晓莉) and her name was changed to Liu Xi Mei Zi. She began modelling at the age of 8 and was trained in singing, dancing and the piano. Moving to the United States at 10 with her mother, Liu lived there for four years. She returned to China in June 2002 to pursue an acting career and adopted her stage name Liu Yi Fei. In September 2002, she was accepted into the Performance Institute of Beijing Film Academy at the age of 15, She graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in July 2006.

Career

Immediately following her admittance into Beijing Film Academy, Liu received offers to star in various television drama serials. Her first role on television was in The Story of a Noble Family. Shortly after, she was chosen to portray the role of "Wang Yuyan" in Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, a drama based on the same-titled novel by the acclaimed wuxia writer, Jinyong. In Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, Yifei's part was first given to Liu Tao. However, after 15-year-old Liu Yifei was spotted, she was given the role of "Wang Yuyan" and Liu Tao was cast as "A Zhu".[3] It was this role that established her fame in China. Her fame was further enhanced through her starring role in the 2004 drama series adaptation of the video game, The Legend of Sword and Fairy. In 2006, Liu starred in another television production based on a book by Jinyong, The Return of the Condor Heroes. After intense speculation on who would get the role of "Xiaolongnü", the part was finally offered to her. She was backed by Jinyong, who felt that she had all the necessary qualities to play the role of the young and innocent "Xiaolongnü".[4] Although the drama serials she has acted in were well-received, the movies she starred in, did poorly in terms of box office takings. The TV drama serials are based on very popular novels, so their popularity is due to the novels themselves. She appeared in Jimmy Lin Chih Ying's music video of the song "I am still waiting for you" (我还在等你) from his 2006 album Can't stop me (挡不住我). She has also previously starred in a television series (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils) and a film (The Love Winner) with him. In conjunction with her acting career, Liu obtained a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment Japan in August 2005 and has studied singing and dancing in Japan since then.[5] She released her first single "Mayonaka no Door" with Sony Music on July 19, 2006. Her song "Mayonaka no Doa" as recorded by Sony Music appeared on television as one of the ending themes to "Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z". Recently, she co-starred with Jackie Chan and Jet Li in The Forbidden Kingdom, a martial art adventure movie.
